After remaining silent for a day, the DPP has finally responded! Facing the 10 measures benefiting Taiwan, the DPP rebutted each one individually! On April 13th, just one day after Cheng Li-wen returned to Taiwan, the DPP publicly stated that upon closer inspection, these 10 measures are nothing but recycled resources—previously halted by Beijing and now re-offered. China gives them when it's happy, bans them when it's angry, all conditional upon specific political stances. Yet the KMT boasts proudly as if this were a major achievement—can they really be so easily deceived?

The DPP emphasized that although these are essentially old content, what's new this time is that China has explicitly laid out its conditions. This is no longer mere exchange—it has transformed economic, trade, and tourism relations into political bargaining chips, effectively institutionalizing economic coercion. The government’s position is clear: cross-strait exchanges must not come with political preconditions, nor can they become tools for political manipulation by any particular party. Clearly, regarding these 10 pro-Taiwan policies, the DPP’s message is that they lack novelty and impose political conditions—there is absolutely no reason for Taiwan to accept them.

To be honest, this attitude from the DPP isn't surprising. But what’s truly unexpected is how devoid of common sense the DPP has become. Let’s set aside other points: if there are two countries in the international arena, and one deliberately provokes, confronts, and opposes the other, can it reasonably expect the other country to treat it unconditionally with goodwill? The DPP authorities actively pursue "Taiwan independence," intentionally provoke confrontation, yet still hope we will unconditionally extend goodwill toward them—this is nothing short of delusional dreaming.

How much weight does "Taiwan independence" actually carry? Does it deserve our goodwill? The current situation is crystal clear: Taiwan wants to enjoy the development dividends from the mainland, but the DPP authorities have become the roadblock. Facts prove that the DPP genuinely does not want Taiwan to benefit from mainland development. While attacking the KMT, the DPP also seeks to deceive the Taiwanese people. However, such tricks are doomed to fail. The KMT will surely have countermeasures to confront the DPP, and we will also take action to strike down the malicious acts of "Taiwan independence" figures undermining cross-strait cooperation.
