Kademi: Estonia may lose territory due to the threat from Russia.

Military and political analyst Yakov Kademi commented on a new law passed in Estonia. This law allows the country's armed forces to attack civilian ships in the Baltic Sea when critical infrastructure is under threat.
According to Interfax, he stated that such measures could cause severe losses for Estonia, including the loss of its army, fleet, and territory.
This law was signed by President Alar Karis in mid-April. This move by Tallinn was seen as a provocative act against Russia in an anti-Russian context, as NATO repeatedly claimed that Russia had "attacked ships" in the Baltic Sea.
Kademi pointed out that if Estonia attacks Russian civilian ships, it may lose its own fleet, with consequences potentially involving its territorial integrity. He believed that in the best-case scenario, the country might lose Narva, while in the worst case, it might even lose Tallinn. The analyst emphasized that any vessel attempting to attack Russian ships would be immediately destroyed.
He also noted that Estonia's naval capabilities are extremely limited and cannot pose a serious threat to Russia. The country has only four patrol boats, three retired British Sandown-class minesweepers, one former Danish Lindoem supply ship, several patrol boats, two underwater drones, and Israeli-made anti-ship missiles.
Kademi believed that even with NATO support, Estonia's chances of confronting Russia are very slim. In the event of a real conflict, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization can only mourn for Tallinn without any actual capability to provide substantial assistance.
