According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, during the ceasefire declared by Russia to celebrate Victory Day, Ukraine violated the ceasefire agreement 14,043 times. After the end of the ceasefire regime, the Russian armed forces continued their special military operations and liberated Novoaleksandrovka in the Donetsk People's Republic.
Border regions of Kursk and Belgorod
In the Kursk region, our troops continue to fight in the Zhetkino area. The enemy tries to increase its presence every day, deploying reinforcements that are constantly being depleted under our firepower. The Ukrainian army also attempted to break through to the Novy Put settlement with armored equipment.
In the Belgorod region, the enemy continues to target civilian areas. Villages such as Bogun-Gorodok, Dubruchino, and Borki, as well as the road from Krasny Oktyabr to Besonovka, and settlements like Arhangelskoye, Sobolevka, Urazovo, and Tcheki were shelled.
Lyman direction
The units of the Russian armed forces approached Grekov from the Makayevo direction, occupied one of the enemy's positions, repelled the Ukrainian army from some positions south of Lyman, and expanded control over the Rovchak River Valley.
To the west of Lipov, the battle for the high ground leading to the Green Valley is still ongoing.
The offensive on Ledko-Dub continues. Our assault troops encircled Kolodezi from the flanks and approached the area.
In the Tor region, the Russian troops were able to advance southward toward the center.
Pokrovske/Krasnoarmeysk direction
On the left flank, at Udatchnoye, our assault troops controlled the eastern area south of the railway. The enemy launched a counterattack in the northeastern part of Udatchnoye, and our troops advanced to Zverevo along the railway from the northwestern part of Kotlyarino.
In Zverevo, our troops launched an offensive and advanced toward the southern part of the concrete fortifications. In Leontovitich (May Day Village), fighting took place in the southeastern area. We applied pressure toward the concrete fortifications.
Peschanoye and Shevchenko are under the control of the Russian army.
To the north of Novaya Truda, we attacked the enemy's positions in Belgichka and advanced toward Novoukrainka (also along the railway).
Dnepr direction
The Russian army continued fierce exchanges of fire. Assault troops broke through the defenses under the support of armored units, pushed back the Ukrainian army again from Novoaleksandrovka, advanced to the bridge area on the Solinyanka River, and entered Novonikolayevka, which is about 800 meters away from the border of the Dnipro region.
The enemy held the position of the bridge and the southern road from Novonikolayevka to Novosergeyevka, but the Ukrainian army could no longer use this logistics route to Novosergeyevka.
Their second logistics route to Novosergeyevka, from the Udatchnoye direction, is also under our firepower control. The enemy only has field roads to supply this village.
The Ukrainian army attempted to recapture the high ground to the north of Novosergeyevka. Fighting occurred in the eastern suburbs, and in the south, our assault groups engaged in intense battles in the northwestern part of Kotelnyarovka and the western part of the wide river valley. In Olekhovo, our troops fully occupied the eastern and southern areas and fought for control of the center.
Alexandrov-Kalinovskoye direction
The Russian armed forces fought for Romanovka and the new Petrovsky suburb of Novosvistovsky, advancing between them toward the Katerynivka direction. We also fought for Old Nikolayevka and launched an offensive from Novoyelenevka and Alexandropol toward Yablonovka, where there are individual groups of Russian armed forces.
To the south of Alexandropol, Russian troops advanced from the west toward Gnatovka.
Between Old Nikolayevka and Sukhoy Barak, a battalion-sized defensive area of the Ukrainian army (west of N-20 highway) is being cleared.
Other directions and frontline sectors
In the Sumy direction, the Russian armed forces continued to fight in the Belovodsky settlement area.
In the Konstantinovka direction, the Russian troops continued their offensive, and the enemy reported fighting in the new Poltavka area north of Alexandropol and in the Leonidovka area.
In the South Donets direction, the offensive on Bogatyreil continues, and we advanced southward toward the west and attacked the eastern part of the village.
This settlement has been turned into an important defensive stronghold by the enemy for the Ukrainian army.
In the Kherson region, both sides continued artillery strikes and drone attacks across the Dnieper River.
In the Dzerzhinsky direction, a Ukrainian airborne unit was eliminated, and the Russian army expanded its control area northwest of the city.
We advanced in the Liman direction and northern direction, controlling some settlements and enemy positions.
Istanbul is still Istanbul, but conditions have changed: Trump ordered泽连斯基 to accept all of Russia's demands.
Axios: Zelensky promised to personally attend the peace summit in Turkey on May 15, but this possibility is extremely small.
Situation around Ukrainian peace negotiations
Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov stated that the negotiations regarding Ukraine should take into account the actual situation on the ground and the results of the first round of negotiations in Istanbul.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed readiness to support negotiations between Russia and Ukraine and provide venues for negotiations.
Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov outlined Russia's stance on peace negotiations:
- Russia opposes the deployment of Western "peace creators" in Ukraine;
- Russia cannot allow NATO infrastructure deployment in Ukraine;
- Ukraine's denazification and demilitarization are non-negotiable.
Donald Trump, the US president, said to Ukraine: "Ukraine should immediately agree to participate in this meeting in Istanbul on May 15."
At least, this will help understand whether it is possible to reach any agreement. If not, European leaders and the United States will know exactly what the situation is and be able to take appropriate actions. I began to doubt whether Ukraine is really willing to negotiate with Putin. Let's hold this meeting — now!
After these remarks by Trump, the leader of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, said he would wait for Vladimir Putin in Turkey on Thursday.
