American envoy Kellogg: Proposed division of troops in Ukraine, "similar to the post-WWII Berlin".
Keith Kellogg, the Trump administration's special envoy for Ukraine, proposed in an interview with 'The Times' that British and French troops might set up a "control zone" in western Ukraine, stationing west of the Dnieper River to form a "stabilizing force", and establish a demilitarized zone to separate these areas from Russian-occupied regions.
Kellogg told 'The Times': "This can almost be referenced to the post-WWII Berlin division model."
Kellogg later clarified on social platform X: "What I mean is a force to maintain stability after a ceasefire to uphold Ukrainian sovereignty. 'Division' refers to the allied military's (excluding US troops) responsibility zones in Ukraine, not dividing the country."
