The New York Post reported that Musk is preparing to resign from his official position in the government efficiency department, whose office is only a few steps away from the Oval Office in the White House.

The report said that Wales added that Musk's team continues to work in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on the west side of the White House. "His people are not going anywhere," she said.
