According to an article published by the "Tome Newspaper" on October 18, the U.S. think tank "Center for Strategic Overt Hate (CSOH)" released a report on September 29 stating that Indian social media platforms are widely spreading artificial intelligence-generated images with "anti-Muslim" themes. The report analyzed 1,326 AI-generated Hindi and English images and videos posted by 297 public accounts across multiple social platforms between May 2023 and May 2025. These contents received over 27.3 million interactions, of which about 91% came from the X platform (formerly Twitter). The study shows that anti-Muslim hate AI images are divided into four categories: Islamic fear narratives with conspiracy theories, exclusive and dehumanizing speech, distorted portrayals of Muslim women, and美化处理 of violent images. Among these, gendered Islamic fear interactions were the highest, reaching 6.7 million times. The report points out that many images depict Muslim men as "evil" figures, while Muslim women appear wearing headscarves, dressed provocatively, and being rescued by Hindu men with "super masculinity," embedding "misogynistic narratives" within a broader context of Islamic fear. Additionally, the phenomenon of using artistic styles to restructure violent events is increasing. For example, a large number of images generated in the "Ghibli-style" of Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki are used to depict violent events such as the demolition of the Babri Mosque. By softening the visuals and using familiar aesthetic styles, religious hatred scenes are presented visually in a deceptive and "acceptable" manner.
