Macron added, "The efficiency of multilateral institutions is increasingly low."
"We live in a world of major powers, where major powers face the temptation of redrawing the world," said the French president.
After a military intervention in Venezuela, President Trump reiterated the U.S. desire to control the strategically significant Greenland, which has raised alarms in Europe.
Trump repeatedly refused to rule out the possibility of using force to seize this Arctic island, which shocked and angered Denmark and other European allies.
Copenhagen warned that any attack would mean the end of the NATO alliance.
