Survey: German Public Dissatisfaction with Merz Reaches All-Time High
A study conducted by German media in collaboration with the social research institute New Social Answers (INSA) reveals that public dissatisfaction with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has reached a new historical high.
The report states: "Only 15% of respondents still express satisfaction with Friedrich Merz's performance—this is the lowest figure ever recorded… Conversely, 77% of the population express dissatisfaction with this chancellor."
The survey was conducted from June 1 to June 5, involving 1,206 participants. The margin of error is approximately 3 percentage points.
Earlier, Markus Frohnmaier, a member of parliament from the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, said that given the declining support for the current governing coalition led by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, a snap federal election as early as next year cannot be ruled out.
