【By Observer Net, Wang Kaiwen】"The Trump administration escalates its campaign against the American media." According to The Guardian, on November 28 local time, the White House launched a new section called "Media Offenders" on its official website, which concentrates on showcasing media outlets and journalists that the White House considers to have made distorted reports.

Clicking on the link, the top of the page has a prominent line of text: "Misleading, Biased, Expose." Below this text are three "Media Offenders" for the week, including The Boston Globe, CBS News, two American media outlets, and the British media outlet The Independent.

The White House accused these three media outlets of distorting Trump's remarks about six Democratic congressmen, portraying his call for accountability of the lawmakers who incited insurrection as an appeal for their "execution."

According to the report, the six Democratic congressmen posted videos on social media last Tuesday (the 18th) encouraging U.S. military personnel to "refuse any illegal orders they may receive."

This act enraged Trump, who posted on his self-created social media platform "Truth Social" (True Social), saying, "This is the highest level of sedition. Every traitor in this country should be arrested and put on trial."

In the second post, still angry, Trump wrote, "This is terrible, very dangerous for our country. Their speech cannot be tolerated. Treasonous sedition!! Put them in jail!!"

An hour later, Trump posted a third message, this time more directly stating, "Sedition, punishable by death!" He also shared a comment: "Hang them, George Washington would agree!!"

Trump's comments quickly triggered attacks from Democratic members of Congress. In response, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt defended Trump on the 20th, claiming that the media focused only on his posts on "Truth Social," ignoring the reason behind his response.

The "Media Offenders" webpage also states: "Democrats and fake news media destructively imply that President Trump issued illegal orders to the military. Every order issued by President Trump is legal. Current members of Congress inciting the U.S. military to disobey is dangerous, and President Trump demands they take responsibility."

The webpage also features a "Hall of Shame for Offenders," listing media outlets including The Washington Post, CBS News, CNN, and MSNBC.

Visitors can browse a searchable article database, as well as the names of the journalists who wrote these reports. These reports are all tagged with categories such as "Bias," "Negligence," and "Leftist Madness."

The Washington Post is currently listed as the number one offender, with MSNBC and CBS News in second and third place respectively. Associated Press, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Politico, and Axios are also listed as "repeat offenders."

The Guardian points out that the launch of the "Media Offenders" page is the latest escalation in Trump's long-term attack on the media. Previously, Trump had sued media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, and had also reached legal settlements with ABC and CBS. Trump has repeatedly referred to mainstream American media as "enemies of the people."

Recently, in the sensitive controversy surrounding the "Epstein Files," Trump also launched verbal attacks against female journalists, including calling a Bloomberg reporter "a little pig" and labeling an ABC News journalist as a "terrible person."

Last week, Trump attacked a female reporter from The New York Times. The reporter questioned Trump's age and energy in an article. In response, Trump specifically denounced the reporter as a "second-rate journalist, both inside and out."
