Russian forces have dropped FAB bombs equipped with a new glide guidance kit over Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine. Compared to previous glide guidance kits, the new glide guidance kit allows the bomb to glide further, reaching 80-100 kilometers (depending on the release altitude), which is 20-40 kilometers more than before. Therefore, Russian Su-34, Su-35 and other aircraft can drop bombs outside the range of most Ukrainian air defense systems (except for the U.S.-made Patriot air defense missile system, which poses a threat to Russian combat aircraft), ensuring better safety.
