[Meaning of the Capture of Zarya Village by Russian Army]

On June 8, the daily battlefield report of the Russian Ministry of Defense showed that the "Southern" force cluster captured the Zarya settlement of the "Donetsk People's Republic".

Zarya is a village in the former Kramatorsk district of Donetsk Oblast. Before the war, its population was about 970 people. It is located 9 kilometers west of Toretsk (Dzerzhinsk) and 15 kilometers south of Konstantinovka. Previously, a considerable number of Ukrainian troops were stationed there. This unit was encircled south of the Alexandrovo-Poltavka-Romanovka defense line. The loss of the village indicates that this unit has either ceased to exist or withdrawn. The "Southern" cluster is leveling the front lines, creating conditions for an offensive against Konstantinovka.

In addition, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that units of the 90th Tank Division under the "Central" force cluster have reached the western border of the "Donetsk People's Republic" and continue to advance into the Dnepropetrovsk Oblast.
