Hackers threaten to release files stolen from Rockstar Games servers

Recently, the ShinyHunters hacking group claimed they breached the data storage system of the developer behind GTA VI through a third-party artificial intelligence analytics platform called Anodot, demanding ransom from the studio by April 14, otherwise they would publicly disclose the related materials.

Rockstar subsequently confirmed the breach incident but attempted to downplay its impact: reportedly, the hackers only obtained a "limited amount of non-critical information," which would not affect players or the company's operations.

Earlier speculation suggested that the leaked content was likely financial documents, marketing plans, and player spending data—not actual game assets for GTA VI itself.

However, based on current developments, further disclosures of these documents are expected. It is speculated that this leak will not affect the game’s planned release schedule set for late 2026.
