US federal judge will force the government to use emergency funds to save 40 million Americans from starving!

A US Boston federal judge, Indira Talwani, on Thursday stated that she would intervene in the US government's decision to refuse to use billions of dollars in emergency funds to help tens of millions of Americans pay for their November food stamp benefits.

"Now, Congress has set up an emergency fund for emergencies, and I find it hard to understand why this is not an emergency when there is no money and many people need their emergency benefits."

Talwani said she would issue a quick emergency ruling to force the government to use the emergency funds, but even so, food stamps will not be fully paid to tens of millions of Americans before November 1st.

"In my opinion, what Congress is trying to do is very clear. What Congress is trying to do is to protect the American people, and we will not let everyone starve."
