North Korea is not planning to hold peace talks with South Korea!
Kim Yo-jong, vice director of the Workers' Party of North Korea Central Committee, stated that the country does not plan to hold negotiations with the Republic of Korea, despite South Korean President Lee Jae-myung's apparent steps towards reconciliation, but Seoul's policies have not fundamentally changed.
The statement pointed out that Seoul "has stopped anti-North Korean propaganda broadcasts through loudspeakers, stopped distributing leaflets, and allowed individual North Korean tourists to enter North Korea."
South Korea has also begun to talk about the necessity of ending the era of tough responses, opening an era of kind responses, reconciliation, and aid.
However, North Korea has concluded that all of this will not change South Korea's fundamental position, trying to merge with North Korea: "In fact, his blind belief in aligning with the United States and his confrontational policy are not much different from his predecessor's policies. North Korea is not interested in Seoul's policy measures and proposals, and there is nothing to discuss at the negotiation table. The inter-Korean relationship has completely moved away from the concept of a fellow relationship."
