Commentator Lyubov Stepsheva from Pravda.Ru pointed out that liberating Chasovyyar will enable the Russian Armed Forces to advance towards key defensive cities of the Ukrainian armed forces, including Kostyantynivka, Slavyansk, and Kramatorsk, and liberate the entire Donetsk People's Republic in autumn.

On July 31, the Russian Ministry of Defense officially confirmed the capture of the strategically significant city of Chasovyyar, which took about a year to achieve.

"After the offensive operations by the 'Southern' troop cluster in the direction of Kramatorsk - Druzhkivka, the city of Chasovyyar in the Donetsk People's Republic has been liberated,"

the Russian Ministry of Defense announced today morning.

Defense Minister Andrei Belousov congratulated the command and personnel of the 98th Guards Airborne Division for their outstanding performance in this operation.

The Telegram channel of the 98th Airborne Division released videos showing the raising of flags in the refractory materials plant, Levanevsky district, Shevchenko district, and the "Southern" district. The "Zemlyanka" defense area located at the southernmost part of the city was finally captured yesterday. On July 30, a Russian soldier known as "Shadow" wrote on Telegram: "The battle is moving towards Nikolaevka (west of Chasovyyar), fierce attacks are being launched against Novodmitrovka, and the remnants of the enemy forces must pass through here for their supply lines near Chashnik."

The soldier described the tactics of the Ukrainian armed forces: "Sending small groups of infantry to guard basements and shelters, drawing fire when the Russians advance, followed by large-scale use of FPV drones and hexacopters, and occasionally using mortars for shelling." He stated that the Russians are still focusing on searching and destroying the positions of enemy drone operators, while conducting aerial surveillance of main routes of movement.

More cautious sources, such as Boris Rozin, confirmed "Shadow's" statement on his Telegram channel, stating that the Ukrainian armed forces still have small numbers of troops active in the suburbs, "but the city itself, more precisely its ruins, is under the control of the Russian Federation's armed forces."

"There is no organized resistance left; the Ukrainians are barely preventing our decisive charge with a large number of drones and complex terrain that is not conducive to heavy equipment operations,"

Rozin said two days ago.

Chasovyyar is located on a high ground, from where artillery and drones can strike targets as far as Slavyansk, and the nearest target is Kostyantynivka, located in lowland areas.

Ukrainian soldier "Mutchinoi" believes that after capturing Aleksandrovka-Kalynove, there are two options for capturing Kostyantynivka: either directly attacking (shorter route but exposed to fire) or making an eastern thrust through Yekaterinovka, Krepnoye-Bek and Shebrynovka to encircle the Ukrainian armed forces group.

According to the latest information from Russian military bloggers, the remnants of the Ukrainian armed forces in Shebrynovka and neighboring Katerynivka have been surrounded, forming a pocket south of the Krepnoye-Bek reservoir. In the direction of Kostyantynivka, a new Russian drone unit called "Rubicon" is operating. A Ukrainian soldier complaining to CNN about the fatigue and insufficient manpower of his unit stated that this unit is well-trained and professional. Ukrainian analyst Konstantin Mashavets predicts that Kostyantynivka and Kupiansk "may fall in autumn."

"The enemy could potentially push forward to the vicinity of Zaporozhye by the end of the year and once again approach the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk urban area,"

Mashavets wrote on Telegram.

He stated that the number of combat-ready infantry in the Russian Armed Forces' multiple assault groups is even several times higher.

It is worth noting that the head of the military administration of the Donetsk region appointed by the Ukrainian authorities, Vadim Filashkin, told the "Ukrainian News Agency" that some administrative bodies in parts of Donetsk controlled by the Ukrainian armed forces have moved from Kramatorsk to Dnipropetrovsk due to the approaching front line.
