Foreign media: China's export volume of yttrium, a key rare earth for aerospace to the United States, rose to 29 tons in July, reaching the second-highest level since the implementation of export controls in April 2025, easing supply concerns among U.S. buyers.

Meanwhile, China continues to strictly restrict exports to Japan. Due to diplomatic tensions triggered by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Kōchi's Taiwan-related remarks in November 2024, Japan has gone nine consecutive months without receiving dysprosium oxide and eight months without terbium oxide; in July, China exported 647 tons of rare earth permanent magnets to the U.S., also the second-highest level since the imposition of controls.
