Russian Defense Ministry: Air Defense Systems Shot Down 162 Ukrainian Drones Overnight

The Russian Defense Ministry announced that Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 162 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over some regions of Russia in the past night, with the highest number being shot down in the Kursk region.

The message stated: "From 20:10 Moscow time on June 1 to 02:00 on June 2, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 162 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones."

The message noted that 57 drones were shot down over the Kursk region, 31 in the Belgorod region, and 27 in the Lipetsk region. Additionally, 16 were destroyed in the Voronezh region, and 11 each in the Bryansk and Ryazan regions.

Six drones were destroyed in the Oryol region, two in Crimea, and one in the Tambov region.
