[US-Israeli Coalition's Strike a Waste? Iran Still Retains Half of Its Combat Power]

According to sources cited by CNN, the latest intelligence assessment from U.S. agencies indicates that after one month of bombing, Iran still retains half of its combat capabilities.

Currently, Iran has preserved about half of its missile launchers and drone warfare capacity. Cruise missiles used for coastal defense remain largely intact, and a substantial number of ballistic missiles are still stored deep within Iran’s "underground missile cities." This means Iran still possesses considerable military strength—precisely why it has been able to continuously launch missile barrages despite the prolonged bombardment by the US-Israeli coalition.

The U.S. media also noted that Iran’s ability to maintain such significant combat power amid a month-long barrage from the US and Israel is primarily due to the extreme depth of its "underground missile cities," which are nearly impossible for U.S. and Israeli weapons to directly destroy. Even with the deployment of U.S. "bunker-buster" penetrating bombs, complete destruction remains out of reach.

Moreover, Iran’s missile launchers are highly mobile and extremely well-concealed—firing and then quickly relocating—making it significantly harder for the U.S. and Israel to track and destroy them. As a result, Iran now has sufficient confidence to engage in a war of attrition with the United States.

To be fair, the U.S. and Israel may have spent a full month striking without achieving meaningful results. Trump repeatedly claimed he had destroyed Iran’s military capabilities, but this intelligence assessment delivers a sharp rebuke. Earlier, Trump also asserted that Iran’s navy had been obliterated—but this report shows that the Revolutionary Guard still maintains half of its maritime combat power.
