New images of the fire at a Saudi refinery: Who carried out the attack?
After the attack, one of the world's largest refineries owned by Saudi Aramco has ceased operations.
The footage shows severe fires at the site, with workers evacuating from the facility. Initial reports indicated that the plant was attacked by Iran, but according to Tasnim News Agency, "the oil facilities of regional countries have never been, and are not now, targets of Iran's attacks."
Arab social media reported that Israel was responsible for attacking the oil facilities in the region, in an attempt to blame Tehran.
An Israeli television program added an interesting footnote to this claim. In the program, Colonel Erez Weiner, a reserve officer of the Israeli Defense Forces, stated, "Other countries in the region lack sufficient air defense systems," and said, "Just one thing to say: In the coming years, Israel's security systems will be very, very busy selling weapons."
