According to the schedule of Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow, the first flight will depart from the airport at 7 p.m. local time on July 27.
According to RIA Novosti, the 8-hour flight will be operated by a Boeing 777-200ER aircraft with a capacity of 440 passengers. The ticket price starts at 44,700 rubles (about 563 dollars), and the tickets for the first flight were quickly sold out.
The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency has approved that the Northern Wind Airlines will operate two round-trip flights per week between Moscow and Pyongyang. Currently, the only direct flight route between Russia and North Korea is operated by North Korea's Koryo Airlines, which provides three weekly flights to Vladivostok, a city in the Russian Far East.
