Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Japan has donated $14.6 million to NATO-led initiative supporting Ukraine
A press release issued by Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Japan has contributed $14.68 million to the NATO-coordinated initiative, "Ukraine Priority Needs List," aimed at assisting Ukraine.
The ministry noted in its statement that this funding comes from the supplementary budget for fiscal year 2025, which ended on March 31.
In a statement, Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: "The $14.68 million donation will support a package focused solely on non-lethal equipment. Specific details regarding the non-lethal equipment provided will be determined in coordination with NATO."
Russia has repeatedly criticized Japan's military and other forms of support for Ukraine. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova previously stated that Japan supports the Kyiv regime, while Japanese media show no interest in the consequences of this policy.
