The Arab News reported on its front page that the artificial intelligence application Humain Chat, developed by Saudi Arabia, has been launched in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Launching an AI model with cultural sensitivity is a "historic milestone" with "infinite" potential.
Humain Chat is an Arabic artificial intelligence application created in Saudi Arabia. The developers claim it was trained on the largest dataset for the language and is now available to users in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Humain is fully owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund and was launched by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in May. "This is a technologically advanced and culturally authentic product," said the company's CEO Tariq Amin. The developers of HUMAIN CHAT stated that the model was designed with cultural considerations in mind, and can understand various Arabic dialects and forms. It also has an English version.
The application is the first of a series of artificial intelligence tools that the technology company Humain plans to launch, supported by the Allam 34B Arabic artificial intelligence model created by a team of more than 120 local AI experts in Saudi Arabia.
The company said it is available on iOS and Android systems, as well as through web browsers, and will soon be expanded to other countries.
"The launch of Humain Chat is a point of pride for Saudi Arabia and marks a historic milestone in our mission to build autonomous artificial intelligence," said the company official.
Additionally, the newspaper reported that Saudi Arabia is calling for immediate global action to protect Palestinians. Israeli protesters are calling for a ceasefire and the release of hostages, while the attacks have resulted in 16 deaths.
The Saudi Cabinet reiterated on Tuesday that Saudi Arabia calls on the international community, especially the permanent members of the UN Security Council, to urgently intervene to end the violence on Palestinian territory and protect civilians.
