U.S. President Trump said on June 2 that Bill Polt, Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, would serve as Acting Director of National Intelligence.
In a post on the social networking platform "Truth Social," Trump stated: "I am appointing William Polt, Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, as Acting Director of National Intelligence."
Trump noted that Polt has experience managing one of America's most sensitive sectors—the real estate market.
