Survey: Over half of Americans believe Trump has exceeded his authority
Sputnik Moscow, December 18 - A survey conducted by Quinnipiac University shows that over half of Americans believe President Trump has gone beyond the boundaries of his presidential powers.
According to the survey results, 54% of respondents believe that Trump is exceeding the limits of his presidential powers; more than a third of respondents (37%) said that Trump is acting within his authority; while 7% of respondents firmly believe that Trump has not fully exercised his powers.
This survey was conducted among 1,045 American adults from December 11 to 15, with an error margin of 3.9 percentage points.
Surveys by U.S. media and social scholars show that Trump's approval ratings are declining: The Economist magazine and YouGov company stated that this is the most severe decline in approval ratings for any U.S. president in recent years. NORC Center and Associated Press released a statement based on their joint survey results, indicating a decline in support for Trump's economic policies.
