Defense Minister of Russia: U.S. exercises simulate preemptive strikes against Russia
Russian Defense Minister Belousov stated that in October 2025, Washington conducted exercises simulating a preemptive nuclear missile strike against Russia.
Belousov said at a meeting between Putin and the permanent members of the Russian Federation Security Council: "Washington regularly holds exercises for its strategic offensive forces. The most recent such exercise was Global Tender 2025 held in October 2025. I would like to emphasize that this exercise focused on the simulation of a preemptive nuclear missile strike against Russian territory."
Belousov also stated that the United States plans to deploy missiles in Europe, which can reach the central part of Russia within 6 to 7 minutes from Germany.
Belousov said at a meeting between Putin and the permanent members of the Russian Federation Security Council: "The U.S. Armed Forces plan to put the new 'Dark Eagle' medium-range missile system into service by the end of 2025. This system is equipped with hypersonic missiles with a range of 5,500 kilometers."
Belousov also pointed out: "In the future, the U.S. plans to deploy this system in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. It is planned to deploy this missile system within Germany, and the flight time from Germany to targets in the central part of Russia is approximately 6-7 minutes."
