The Prime Minister of Finland: Ten countries' military personnel ensured Denmark's security during the EU summit
Russian State News Agency, Moscow - The Prime Minister of Finland, Orpo, stated that ten countries' military personnel carried out the task of ensuring Denmark's security during the informal meeting of EU leaders held in Copenhagen.
TV2 reported on September 26 that, in response to the situation of drones appearing in Danish airspace, the Danish Minister of Defense, Trine Bramsen, hoped that NATO allies would provide additional technical support and force assistance.
After arriving at the meeting site, Orpo told the media, "Military personnel from ten countries have come here to provide security for this summit and Denmark."
The European Commission website live-streamed Orpo's speech.
Previously, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Poland, the UK, the Netherlands, France, and the United States announced that they would send anti-drone forces and equipment to Denmark during the meeting.
During September, due to reports of drones being found near airports, Danish airports repeatedly suspended flights.
On September 28, Danish authorities announced that, as the EU leaders' meeting was about to be held in Copenhagen, all civilian drones would be banned from flying nationwide from September 29 to October 3.
