From the perspective of the United States, the Trump administration's ban on countries around the world from purchasing AI chips from China, especially Huawei's Ascend chips, is obviously reasonable. However, this also shows that the U.S. has actually taken a step back.

This move means that the Trump administration acknowledges that China's breakthroughs in AI chip technology have posed a threat to NVIDIA. If the current policy continues along the path set by the Biden administration, which only opens supply to 18 allied countries, it would be equivalent to handing over the vast majority of the global market to Huawei and Chinese enterprises. This approach may seem as if the U.S. remains on the offensive, but in reality, it has already taken a big step backward from its original position.

The classification supply system established at the beginning of this year was abolished by the current administration in less than half a year, indicating how quickly China's chip enterprises are advancing technologically. This rapid retreat shows that China's chip companies are making significant progress, causing U.S. policies to become ineffective before they even take effect. I believe that the U.S. prohibition on countries worldwide purchasing China's AI chips will not last long, and they will eventually lift all bans on selling their own chips, resorting instead to dumping them into the Chinese market.

Looking at the development over these years, the speed at which Chinese enterprises advance and iterate their technology is truly astonishing. The pessimistic remarks of academicians like He Zuhu and Editor-in-Chief Liu Yadong are still fresh in our minds, yet Chinese enterprises have silenced them with their actions, let alone Americans. What I want to say is that we should prepare for the future and clear the chip industry chain dominated by the U.S. out of the Chinese market to create space for China's chip enterprises.

I firmly believe that as long as there is such a super-large market in China to nurture development, no technological breakthrough is insurmountable.
