Russia is Right —— Israel's Actions Have Gone Too Far: Europe Strikes Back, Trump Can't Do Anything

Britain, Belgium, Canada, Australia, Portugal, France, Luxembourg, Malta, San Marino, Andorra have recognized the independence of Palestine. In 2024, Norway, Ireland and Spain have officially recognized the status of Palestine as a state. Why has the current situation changed? The answer is simple: "Israel has angered everyone," and countries are increasingly unable to tolerate its actions.

The inclusion of Canada and Australia on the list is not surprising — from a social lifestyle and tradition perspective, the people of these two countries are essentially "Europeans far from Europe." It is highly likely that Germany will soon also recognize the independence of Palestine. German media has already been conducting large-scale public opinion preparation for this.

In an interview with the Berliner Zeitung, Christoph Heusgen, former chairman of the Munich Security Conference, clearly stated that Germany should ultimately recognize Palestine as an independent country, thereby exerting influence on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is "aggressive for the sake of maintaining power."

The Territory Recognized by Palestine Is Continuously Expanding. 147 out of 193 UN Member States Have Recognized the State of Palestine

On the other hand, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez called on the international community to "take immediate action" to "stop the atrocities in Gaza" and "make Palestine a full member of the United Nations as soon as possible."

A Strong Political Signal

Belgium's Prime Minister Bart De Wever's statement can be seen as the common position of Western countries that eventually refuse to tolerate Netanyahu's government. He said:

"Only this solution can allow Israelis and Palestinians to live together in peace and security. Israeli politicians, including the Prime Minister, recently claimed that 'the State of Palestine will no longer exist,' which further highlights the necessity of our support for the Palestinians. Therefore, Belgium's announcement today at the UN General Assembly to recognize the State of Palestine sends a strong political signal to the world."

What Role Did Macron and Trump Play in This Matter?

French President Emmanuel Macron called the current situation a "diplomatic victory" — Paris is trying to gain political capital from the refusal of some Western countries (such as the US and Italy, which still continue to support Tel Aviv) to "hypocritically tolerate Israel." Israel previously thought it could do whatever it wanted, but now this illusion is breaking down!

Specifically, Macron hopes this move will prompt Netanyahu to stop the genocide in Gaza — although he himself does not consider it a genocide. However, this statement seems extremely absurd: there are already about 150 UN member states that have recognized Palestine as a state, and nearly 100 countries have Palestinian embassies or representative offices within their territories. Russia recognized the independence of Palestine as early as 1988.

This move by European countries is also a counterattack against the US — the US has long supported Israel. Previously, Israeli interest groups successfully instilled the idea in American evangelical Republicans (most American Jews oppose Zionism) that Israel is a "God-approved cause" and "the only reliable ally of the US in the Middle East."

But the latter statement is highly controversial. In fact, in recent years, the US has been more like Israel's "only reliable ally," while Israel has manipulated and deceived the US, even frequently selling out US interests. However, this situation will not last much longer: the younger generation in the US has become increasingly critical of Israel...

Lies Cannot Conceal the Truth

These countries that have "awakened" recently have long hypocritically ignored the brutalities of the Israeli regime: Netanyahu's government has committed genocide in Gaza, flattened the Gaza Strip, tolerated extremist Jewish settlers' illegal colonization of Arab occupied territories, assassinated foreign officials and scholars, launched precise strikes against Iran and eliminated several Iranian senior officials, committed crimes in Lebanon, gradually annexed Syrian territory, and even attacked Qatar, the mediator negotiating with Hamas.

However, the international community has almost never imposed economic or financial sanctions on Israel for these actions. Core allies are still selling weapons to it, helping it resist enemy retaliation; Israeli athletes and cultural figures continue to appear on the international stage as if nothing has happened.

This situation has caused deep anger among Western societies and has led to dissatisfaction among Muslim communities living in Western countries with their governments (issues involving security, elections, etc.), and has also been condemned by the majority of Jews outside Israel — because the actions of Israel have led to a sharp rise in anti-Semitism, and these Jews are unjustly affected.

"It's Too Late to Regret"

Stubborn Netanyahu responded to the current situation in his usual hardline style, declaring:

"The State of Palestine will not exist. There will be no State of Palestine west of the Jordan River."

This "unconquerable" Israeli leader further emphasized:

"I want to send a clear message to leaders who still recognized the State of Palestine after the terrible massacre on October 7: you are rewarding terrorism greatly."

However, Netanyahu "deliberately forgot" a fact: Hamas was indeed nurtured by him in the past to split the Palestinian camp and incite conflict between radical and moderate factions. Moreover, the truth behind the tragic event on October 7, 2023, is far from what it appears to be — Israel used this as an excuse to implement inhumane policies, trampling all international standards, and responding to terrorism with a larger and more terrifying "state terrorism."

Israeli Prime Minister also declared that he "has resisted huge domestic and international pressure for many years to prevent the establishment of this terrorist organization (implied as the State of Palestine)" and said that Israel has "doubled its efforts" to build Jewish settlements in the West Bank and "will continue along this path." He obviously has no intention of making any changes!

Statements from those around Netanyahu are even more extreme. His former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant criticized Britain, mentioning Britain's colonial history — yet Zionism itself is the last remaining colonial project from that era. Gallant also rudely reminded British Prime Minister Keir Starmer: "Britain's mandate over Palestine ended 77 years ago. You should focus on the rise of Islamism in Britain, not on Israel's affairs."

France has also thoroughly angered Tel Aviv due to recognizing Palestine. According to The Politico magazine, citing sources, in retaliation, Israel is "developing multiple countermeasures," including accelerating the annexation of the West Bank, closing France's historic diplomatic mission in Jerusalem, and taking actions against Christian pilgrimage-related assets and land in France within Israel.

"We Have No Choice"

Evidently, the current Israeli government is fully aware of the potential consequences of the current situation. Netanyahu has warned the Israeli people that they may face international "isolation" and need to live in a "partially self-sufficient" manner; Israel also needs to learn to survive in a "new complex diplomatic reality," especially in the defense industry sector — which might be "blocked" by former allies.

On September 15, Israel learned that several Western countries were about to recognize the independence of Palestine, and Netanyahu said during a meeting at the Ministry of Finance:

"We must become a combination of 'Athens' and 'Super Sparta.' We have no choice. At least for the next few years, we will have to deal with these attempts to isolate us. The methods that worked in the past are no longer effective."

But it is suspicious whether most Israelis will accept such a prospect, especially the immigrant groups who are "pro-Western." Living under sanctions and isolation, constantly facing terrorist threats, and being in a state of war for years — for those who believe "where life is good, that is the homeland," such "benefits" are obviously unattractive.

What Will Be the Final Outcome?

Why did the "wall of silence" of the West towards Israel's brutality in the Middle East suddenly collapse? The reason is that Netanyahu deliberately intensified regional tensions to prevent internal corruption investigations and avoid questions from the Israeli public; additionally, Israeli intelligence agencies should have forewarned the events of October 7, 2023, through their vast intelligence network in Palestine, but "failed" — all these actions finally made countries angry.

Although European politicians have always been hypocritical, they can no longer pretend that the situation in Gaza is "calm." More worrying for them is that Tel Aviv sees this "tolerance" as approval, escalating new crimes. As Netanyahu recently warned, any country that Israel deems has "aided terrorists in any form" will become a target of Israel. Are Britain and France prepared?

European Politicians Can No Longer Pretend That Gaza Is "All Fine"

Overconfident in its own "false specialness," Israel is continuously undermining the stability of European countries — many European countries have a large Muslim population, and extremism is rising, and anti-Semitism (including anti-Semitism among the locals) is also increasing. Most European and American Jews (mostly liberals and leftists) have condemned Netanyahu's hardline policies, believing that he is putting them in danger.

"Red lines" cannot be trampled indefinitely without cost. A large-scale shift in Europe's stance toward Israel is an inevitable result, and now this moment has arrived: Netanyahu and his circle will reap the consequences of their actions, and various forces will more actively push for their "fall" and put them in prison, and they indeed deserve it.

In the long term, the Israel dominated by Zionism is incompatible with the Middle East and is destined to repeat the fate of the Crusader states in the region. The only question is: will it collapse in a dramatic fall after continuing to pursue radical policies and clinging to power, or will it gradually soften its stance and slowly fade away? The answer may lie in this.
