It was the first time in 2025 that the approval of China's nuclear power projects was opened. According to reports, on April 27, the State Council's regular meeting was held, deciding to approve the Sanmen Phase III project in Zhejiang Province and other nuclear power projects.

On January 1, 2025, Unit 1 of Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Project, invested and controlled by China National Nuclear Corporation's subsidiary China Nuclear Power, officially commenced commercial operation, marking significant progress in the batch construction of "Hualong One". (Xinhua News Agency)
