Japanese media focus on Japanese automakers participating in the Beijing Auto Show

According to a report by Japan's Jiji Press on April 24: The Beijing International Automotive Exhibition opened today. It is one of the largest auto exhibitions in the world, held biennially alternating with the Shanghai Auto Show.

Each year, it attracts major manufacturers from China, Japan, the United States, and Europe, showcasing new automotive technologies and products to consumers. In recent years, domestic Chinese companies have seen rapid sales growth, and this year’s exhibition is expected to draw even greater attention than in previous years.

BYD and Huawei have set up large exhibition booths. Mainstream Chinese automakers are expanding globally, and the number of models targeted at overseas markets is expected to increase.

Japanese automakers including Toyota, Honda, and Nissan will also be exhibiting.

Although Japanese carmakers still hold an advantage in internal combustion engine vehicles, they are currently facing intense competition in the Chinese market.

According to organizers, this year’s exhibition features 1,451 exhibits—the highest number ever recorded. The event will run until May 3, with public access beginning on the 28th.
