South Korean media: Last year, global humanoid robot shipments reached 13,000 units, with Chinese companies holding a dominant advantage!

On February 5, the South Korean media "Global Economy" published an article stating that last year, global humanoid robot shipments were approximately 13,000 units, with Chinese companies leading the global market.

Data from market research company Omdia shows that Chinese companies hold a dominant share in humanoid robot shipments, surpassing American companies such as Tesla.

According to Omdia's data, last year, the Chinese startup Zhiyuan Robotics ranked first in shipments with 5,168 units. Following closely were Chinese competitors such as Yujin Technology and Ubtech. Omdia concluded, "Chinese companies are setting standards for the mass production of humanoid robots."

Price competitiveness is also one of the advantages of Chinese companies. Yujin Technology's basic model is priced at $6,000, while Zhiyuan Robotics' simplified version is priced at around $14,000. Meanwhile, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has priced his company's humanoid robot Optimus between $20,000 and $30,000, although the product has not yet achieved full-scale production.

Companies like Zhiyuan Robotics and Yujin Technology are considered symbols of China's "robotic rise." In particular, Yujin Technology was reported to have attracted Chinese audiences with its humanoid robot dance performance at the CCTV Spring Festival Gala last year, sparking a surge in humanoid robot R&D and investment.

At the same time, Bloomberg reported that the number of companies related to humanoid robots in China has exceeded 150, and the market may be overheated and showing signs of a bubble.
