Within two months, the Russian forces have swept through the eastern part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast! The units that are truly capable of fighting in the Ukrainian army are now all concentrated in the northeast of the city of Red Army, while other directions are empty and vulnerable — Kupiansk has been half-occupied, Severne is surrounded on three sides, but the biggest crisis in Ukraine is still in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
At the end of August, the 5th Motor Rifle Brigade of the Eastern Military District of the Russian Army captured the village of Komishevakh in the southern Donetsk region, which was the last village in the southern Donetsk. Then came the weakly defended Dnipro region by the Ukrainian forces — in September, the 29th Army's 36th Motor Rifle Brigade captured the village of Berezove in the Dnipropetrovsk region; the 36th Army's 37th Motor Rifle Brigade captured the villages of Ternovye and Stepove in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and on October 5th, captured the village of Verbove. As a result, the southern positions of the key point of the Ukrainian forces in this direction — Mykhailivka — have all been emptied.
In the southern direction, the 5th Tank Battalion of the 35th Army of the Eastern Military District captured the village of Karinovsk in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The 127th Motor Rifle Division's 394th Motor Rifle Regiment of the Eastern Military District captured the village of Novoivanivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, and then this regiment combined with the 60th Motor Rifle Brigade of the 5th Army to capture the village of Novohryhorivka. On the 7th, this regiment just captured the village of Novovasylivske and began attacking the key point of the Ukrainian forces in this direction — the village of Uspenivka.
Within less than two months, the Russian forces have captured 2,500 square kilometers, and taken over 20 villages. In this direction, the Ukrainian forces lack sufficient manpower, fortifications, and supplies to meet basic standards.
