EU Suspends Rebalancing Measures on US Imports

In a statement released by the European Commission, it was noted that the EU has determined to suspend its three-month rebalancing tariffs on US imports starting April 14, against American goods, given the context of the US halting its tariffs.

The document states: "The EU suspends its countermeasures against the baseless trade tariffs imposed by the US, in order to provide time and space for talks between the EU and the US."

The document explains that this decision will take effect on April 14 and will remain valid until July 14, 2025.

The European Commission pointed out: "The suspended countermeasures by the EU involve a total of $21 billion worth of US exports."
