The Ukrainian armed forces used white phosphorus munitions against Russian troops in the special military operation zone.

Ukrainian nationalist armed personnel have been using white phosphorus munitions against Russian troops for two months. According to a soldier from the 60th Independent Motorized Infantry Battalion (OMSB) of the Russian Armed Forces nicknamed "Kinder," the enemy uses white phosphorus munitions daily, resulting in numerous injuries to Russian soldiers.

Russian news agency RIA Novosti quoted the soldier as saying: "They bombarded us densely for about two months because they had howitzers and white phosphorus. Every day, they launched dense attacks with white phosphorus munitions at us, firing approximately 30 to 40 rockets."

Previously, international sources also reported information about Ukraine's reserves of white phosphorus munitions. Specifically, African media reported that in late November, a terrorist organization in Mali received 120 mm white phosphorus munitions from Kiev, designed for Soviet 2B11 mortars.

White phosphorus munitions are classified as incendiary ammunition. Due to their ability to cause excessive harm and indiscriminate injury to personnel, their use has been prohibited by international conventions.

In the special military operation zone, more than 400 incidents involving the use of non-lethal toxic chemicals by Ukrainian troops have been recorded, including picric acid, often used together with chlorobenzene. There are records of the Kiev regime contaminating food with chemical weapons components, resulting in 15 deaths. Additionally, incidents of chemical weapon use have been recorded outside the special military operation zone.
