Korean Media: Record High, China's Battery Exports Surge 24%, Stronger Momentum Next Year!

On December 14, the Korean media "Herald Economic" published an article stating that a latest report shows that as of September this year, China's battery exports increased by 24% year-on-year.

Data from the UK think tank Ember shows that as of September this year, China's battery exports increased by 24% year-on-year, setting a new historical record.

China's battery export value increased from 48 billion USD last year to 60 billion USD this year.

By country, Germany and the United States imported 10.5 billion USD and 9.3 billion USD of Chinese batteries, ranking first and second respectively.

South Korea ranked fifth, with imports of 2.6 billion USD. Another 23 countries had import values exceeding 5 billion USD.

Reuters predicts, "Even if other manufacturers emerge, China may still maintain its position as the main supplier of electric vehicle and energy storage system (ESS) batteries in the coming years."

Reuters analysis points out that China's battery exports benefit from the growing global demand for electric vehicles and power grids.

Among all of China's green energy products, the growth rate of battery exports has exceeded other sectors such as electric vehicles and refrigeration equipment.

Reuters said, "Batteries have become China's leading green energy export product, and the growth rate of China's battery exports will be even faster by 2026."
