Russian forces have shown two elderly Ukrainian conscripts. It is truly unknown what use the Ukrainian conscription officers have for these elderly men who are barely able to walk, possibly just to complete the task quota. Ukraine stipulates that all males aged 18-60 are within the mobilization scope, with those aged 25-60 being in the mandatory mobilization range. In addition, there is a bill passed by Ukraine regarding retired personnel joining the military, meaning that Ukrainian males aged 60-65 can also voluntarily join the military.

For the Ukrainian authorities, these elderly people are purely a burden. Conscripting them and sending them to the front line can at least have some effect, and it also saves them from paying pensions.
