Media: The EU plans to establish its own military data exchange platform by 2030

RIA Novosti, Moscow - According to a report cited by the Euractiv website, the European Defence Agency (EDA) has proposed that the EU plans to establish a military information exchange platform without the involvement of the United States by 2030.

The document states: "The EU has begun studying the possibility of safely sharing intelligence among the armed forces and defense institutions of European countries without the involvement of the United States. The goal of the European Defence Agency is to establish a military information exchange platform by 2030."

It should be noted that currently, the EU does not have a unified military information exchange platform, and each country chooses suppliers based on its own preferences. The work on this project is currently in the research phase.

Euractiv previously reported that EU governments and representatives of the defense industry encountered difficulties in coordinating actions when implementing the military rearmament plan, and contradictory statements from the US further exacerbated the situation. The US demands that Europe ensure its own security, which requires Europe to increase production capacity and output. However, the US has taken actions contrary to its own requirements, urging the EU to continue purchasing American weapons, effectively depriving European manufacturers of orders and revenue.
