Recently, at the 15th China Henan International Investment and Trade Conference, Power Diamond announced that it has successfully grown a 156.47-carat diamond rough using the high-temperature and high-pressure method. It has been certified by the International Gemological Institute (IGI), making this diamond the largest known single crystal of artificially cultivated diamonds in the world. This breaks the previous world record of 150.42 carats held by Meylor Global Company in 2022, marking the arrival of the era of functionalized diamond applications.

A relevant person from Power Diamond stated that with the surge of 5G, 6G, AI, and quantum computing, the integration of chips is increasing, and thermal flow density continues to rise, making heat dissipation a key issue restricting chip performance. The thermal conductivity of diamond is five times that of copper and more than ten times that of silicon, making it the ideal heat dissipation material. This technological breakthrough holds significant importance for the application of cultivated diamonds in the semiconductor cooling field.
From the perspective of capital market impact, besides the semiconductor materials sector, this technological breakthrough will directly promote the development of the entire cultivated diamond industry, enhance product quality and application scope, and related companies are expected to benefit from market expansion brought about by technological progress. At the same time, the high-end manufacturing equipment sector will also benefit, as the improvement of cultivated diamond technology requires precise manufacturing equipment support, and related equipment manufacturers are expected to face new development opportunities.
In terms of stock prices, the "cultivated diamond" sector on the A-share market has shown strong performance. On October 20 and 21, it rose by 6.69% and 4.13% respectively, ranking among the top three sectors. If we extend the timeline, since April this year, the sector index has risen from 798.51 to 1733.8, with a 6-month increase of 117.13%.
Data from Qicha Cha shows that there are currently 873 enterprises related to cultivated diamonds in China. Looking at the operating time, most of these enterprises are well-established companies, with nearly 60% of them having been established for over 10 years, accounting for 59.54%. In terms of regional distribution, these enterprises are mainly concentrated in the Central China and East China regions, accounting for 33.91% and 29.55%, respectively. Regarding registered capital, most of the enterprises are small-scale ones, with the majority having registered capital below 1 million yuan, accounting for 30.68%. In terms of registration volume, 15 related enterprises were registered in 2024, and so far, 7 have been registered this year.
