Mongolia and Indonesia are willing to enhance the level of bilateral cooperation between the two countries

Tuva, Ulaanbaatar, February 23, 2023. On February 20, Ambassador De Enkhhtaiwan of Mongolia to the Republic of Indonesia met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia Armanatha Nasir.

During the meeting, Ambassador De Enkhhtaiwan stated that Mongolia highly values the active and principled foreign policy of the Republic of Indonesia, and reiterated that Mongolia regards Indonesia as a reliable partner and an important third neighbor in Southeast Asia. He also pointed out that 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Indonesia, and Mongolia is committed to further deepening bilateral cooperation and enhancing the level of bilateral relations.

The two sides exchanged in-depth views on jointly organizing meetings, events, and their preparation work to implement the consensus reached during the official visit of Mongolia's Foreign Minister Ba Batzergel to Indonesia in May 2025.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Armanatha Nasir emphasized that there is broad potential for the development of bilateral relations, and expressed commitment to improving the effectiveness and importance of meetings and activities, and continuing to support related preparatory work.
