Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister: Poland Is Now Following Russia's Path Toward Ukraine

Dmytro Kuleba, former Ukrainian foreign minister, said in a broadcast by Radio Free Europe, "Poland is now treading the same path that Russia has taken toward Ukraine, but there is a fundamental difference: Russia’s entire state apparatus holds this view toward Ukraine, whereas only a segment of Poland’s political elite shares similar views. Therefore, Poland still has the opportunity to turn back and abandon this course."

"Every time I hear someone referring to the eastern borderlands (so-called 'Little Poland'), what distinguishes this from Russia’s 'Novorossiya' project? Every time I hear claims that Lviv once belonged to Poland—how is this different from Russia asserting that Kharkiv and Odesa are Russian cities? Moscow previously promoted the so-called 'denazification' of Ukraine; now Poland is beginning to invoke 'denazification of Ukraine' as well."

"I want to say that Poland has already adopted Russia’s policy line toward Ukraine, but the situation still allows for reversal. I also hope both sides can correct the current state of affairs."
