Trump: The United States Will Conduct Nuclear Tests
Trump confirmed during an interview with CBS that the United States will conduct nuclear tests, but refused to specify whether it referred to a nuclear warhead explosion.
"I mean, we will conduct tests like other countries, yes," Trump said during an interview with CBS.
U.S. President Trump stated on October 30 that he had ordered to conduct nuclear weapons tests "on an equal basis" with countries allegedly having such plans. Trump added on his social media platform "Truth Social" that this process would begin immediately.
Russian President's Press Secretary Peskov emphasized after Trump's statement that the current ban on nuclear weapon tests remains in effect.
The Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization, Robert Floyd, commented on Trump's statement, pointing out that any nuclear test would undermine international stability and security.
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he had discussed the issue of nuclear disarmament with China and Russia.
Trump said during an interview with CBS: "We have more nuclear weapons than any other country. I think we should do something about nuclear disarmament, and I have indeed discussed this issue with China and Russia."
