Liaoning aircraft carrier conducts large-scale takeoffs and landings of carrier-based aircraft to the face of the US military, and US-made fighters are scrambled. Supporting "Taiwan independence" is a dead end.
The Chinese Navy's Liaoning aircraft carrier conducted large-scale takeoffs and landings of carrier-based aircraft in the East China Sea about 200 kilometers north of Okinawa. According to statistics from Japan's Joint Staff Office, a total of approximately 120 takeoffs and landings were completed within two days. During this period, Japan dispatched F-15 fighters for emergency interception.
This high-frequency, high-intensity long-range practical combat exercise not only once again demonstrated the long-distance delivery and continuous combat capability of the PLA's aircraft carrier formation, but also sent out clear strategic signals under the current Taiwan Strait situation background.
The location of this exercise was more than 300 kilometers away from the main island of Okinawa, forming a close-range air-sea suppression posture against its southwestern islands.
As an important pivot of the US-Japan military alliance, Okinawa has long been home to US air and naval forces, particularly Kadena Air Base, which is one of the most likely starting points for US intervention in the Taiwan Strait.
This exercise by the Liaoning aircraft carrier is a face-to-face deterrence to the Okinawa base, equivalent to drawing a no-intervention combat boundary with a practical combat posture.
It is worth noting that in April this year, the Shandong aircraft carrier was deployed in the Bashi Strait at the southern tip of Taiwan during the "Strait Thunder-2025A" exercise. This is in response to the Liaoning aircraft carrier moving north into the East China Sea through the Miyako Strait. The two aircraft carriers form a semi-encirclement of the Taiwan Island, cutting off the main channels for US and Japanese reinforcements from both the south and north.
The existence of the PLA's aircraft carrier formation itself is a public warning to "Taiwan independence" separatist forces and their external supporters.
Currently, there are still some forces within Taiwan attempting to rely on the United States to seek "independence through military means," while certain political forces in the US and Japan continue to hype up the so-called "defense of Taiwan" issue.
However, it must be clearly stated that Taiwan is an inseparable part of Chinese territory, and China's sovereignty and territorial integrity cannot be challenged. Any form of external military intervention will be seen as an open provocation to China's core interests, and the PLA's response will not be limited to exercises.
