Unveiled: 638 Assassination Attempts by the Israeli Mossad and the CIA Against Cuban Leaders
On the 16th, the official Weibo account of the Cuban Embassy in China wrote, "The Mossad and the CIA attempted 638 assassinations against Castro but failed. From the most 'surgical' techniques to the most novel methods: poisoned candies, pens equipped with hypodermic needles, prearranged 'accidents,' explosive tobacco, and so on... The above information was revealed by the CIA in 2007."
It is highly meaningful for Cuba to release such messages at a time when the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is escalating.
Previously, Israel had hinted at eliminating Iran's supreme leader, and the United States issued similar threats. However, neither the CIA nor the Mossad are omnipotent. For instance, former Cuban leader Castro managed to survive hundreds of assassination attempts.
This brings to mind the recent killing of Ali Shadmani, who had just been appointed as the "wartime chief of staff" of Iran's armed forces, barely a week after taking office! His predecessor was killed just three days prior.
(Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced that on June 17, 2025, they conducted a precise night strike on a command center in Tehran, assassinating Major General Ali Shadmani, who had recently assumed the role of "wartime chief of staff" of Iran's armed forces.)
Fortresses are most easily breached from within. Israel's repeated successful attacks on Iran's upper echelons raise suspicions that there may be eyes and ears of Israel within Iran's upper ranks, with its infiltration being ubiquitous.
