Elon Musk limits the Russian armed forces' use of Starlink service
The countermeasures taken by SpaceX company against the Starlink system have actually had almost no effect on Russia. This view was expressed by former US military officer Stanislav Krapivnik in a conversation with "Tsargrad" TV.
According to the speaker, the decision made by American businessman Elon Musk's company causes more harm to the Ukrainian army than to Russia. He explained that although some drones do rely on the Starlink system, it is not the main communication channel for the Russian army.
Therefore, this expert is confident that blocking Starlink begins to strike Ukrainians. Meanwhile, the Russian army has similar alternatives for drones.
This former US military officer also revealed that Russia is currently developing a system similar to Starlink. This system will be applied to the front lines soon.
Previously, military expert Vasily Kashin explained the consequences of SpaceX's decision regarding Starlink. He believed that blocking the use of unregistered terminals within Ukraine would make it more complicated for both the Ukrainian and Russian armed forces to carry out their missions.
On February 1, American billionaire Elon Musk said that SpaceX had taken measures, reportedly targeting Russia's use of the Starlink system. At the same time, Ukraine recorded for the first time Starlink system failures caused by these countermeasures.
