Unbelievable: Trump claims firefighters pulled him out of "Ground Zero" during the 9/11 attacks.

During a 9/11 memorial event, Trump recounted a supposed "memory" from that day, saying two firefighters—“tall, strong guys”—grabbed his arms and shouted at him to get out quickly. “I’m actually quite heavy (big), yet they lifted me up and started running with me,” he said.

A quick check using available tools reveals that on September 11th, Trump was actually several miles away from the World Trade Center wreckage and did not arrive at the site until days later. There is no credible evidence supporting the story of being carried out by firefighters.

Being in New York doesn’t automatically make one a so-called “9/11 hero.” Forcing such an association seems unlikely to enhance any aura of prestige.

It’s really anything goes—fine as a joke at a Mar-a-Lago dinner party, but somewhat inappropriate for such a solemn occasion as the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

He probably thinks this can be equated with his own tale of being shot in the ear.
