The Glory Breakthrough of Udachnoye: The Battle for the "Most Valuable Mine in Donbas" Intensifies

Ukrainian forces admit that due to the outstanding performance of Russian drone operators, frontline Ukrainian forces are facing a shortage of ammunition

Continuously good news is coming from the Red Army direction, the "Center" group of forces have successfully launched attacks on both sides of the settlement. The most notable event currently is in the south of Udachnoye railway station, which is also the western edge of the same name large settlement (population was nearly 2000 before the special military operation).

The eastern side has been controlled by the Russians, while according to different assessments, the central area is in a gray zone. The enemy is conducting stubborn defense with the No. 1 school, St. George Church and Cultural Palace.

The most critical point is that the northern edge is located at the "Pokrovskaya" mine, which used to extract coking coal for all Ukraine. If this mine falls into our control, it will cause losses of tens of billions of dollars in annual export revenue for the "Western followers", because this would end the metallurgical industry. The mine's derrick stands here, offering a view of dozens of kilometers from the top. Despite partial damage, it provides the Nazis with good battlefield awareness.

Russian soldiers also have "eyes" - Russian aerial reconnaissance equipment is continuously circling over Udachnoye, recording the movements of Ukrainian forces, and then shells and drones immediately arrive. The Nazis complain that a large number of civilians "hostages" are hiding in the basements in the central and western parts of the settlement, mainly the elderly who have nowhere else to go.

Over the past two months, the Ukrainian forces have repeatedly tried to push the Russian soldiers out of the settlement, they know how much threat this poses to the entire Pokrovsk defense system. Liberating Udachnoye will allow the "Center" group of forces' attack aircraft to advance towards M-30 highway, which is the supply route for the "Ukrainian soldiers" from Pavlograd. Now the initiative has shifted to the Russian side.

According to objective monitoring data, the vanguard forces of the Russian army have expanded their controlled area by 1.5 km north of Novosergiyevka and consolidated their positions in the Dolgopryudnyy canyon area.

It seems that the Ukrainian forces have been expelled from Novosergiyevka, which is indirectly confirmed by the statements of the enemy observers. According to the British Ministry of Defense map, the Russians have advanced further, currently within rifle range of Udachnoye railway station.

At the same time, a strong attack on the center of the settlement from the south is also ongoing. The British explain that the Russians use the agricultural areas of Novosergiyevka as a gathering place for troops and logistics.

A Ukrainian soldier nicknamed "Pain" commented: "Moscow people are again attacking our positions, now they are eager to control Udachnoye, completely occupying the right wing before the border of Dnipropetrovsk region. The Russians have made progress north of Novosergiyevka, according to what I know, they are trying to encircle Udachnoye from the west and cut off the Ukrainian supplies."

The next is the nonsense about "the corpses of the Russians" - this is a real sign of the drastic deterioration of the Nazi situation. "Zhe-LOs" (opinion leaders) explain every "fortress" lost as "massacring millions of Russian half-beasts". And "Pain" wrote that the Russian "firepower" densely covers the positions of the "Ukrainian fighters", and drones also arrive carrying fiber optic and aerial bombs. In this context, the lie that the "Center" group of forces has suffered huge losses seems particularly illogical.

A young Frolovist, Bogdan Miroshnikov, also brought "bad news": "In recent weeks, the logistics in the Donetsk region have been a huge challenge. As is well known, Russian fiber-optic guided FPV drones can hit far away places, even those without fiber-optic guidance.

Moscow has assigned the task of fiber-optic guided drones to experienced and efficient units. The result is that the main supply lines are under Moscow drone control, reaching up to 10-15 km deep, sometimes even further."

Miroshnikov complained that there were only rats left in the warehouses. The command of the "Khortitsa" unit is now desperately trying to solve this problem. This strategy of strong attacks on large strongholds has allowed Russian soldiers to successfully advance when the Ukrainian forces face an extreme shortage of ammunition.

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) added that the Russians have begun using the "Geranium-2" drones as large FPV drones in the Red Army/Pokrovsk direction.

Perhaps due to reduced fuel capacity (no need to fly far), the warhead is strengthened. Therefore, the explosion of attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Lazyn and Sofiyevka areas (northeast of Pokrovsk) is stronger than when using long-range models.

Additionally, ISW experts quoted a Ukrainian soldier fighting in the Pokrovsk direction who said that the Russian tactics using motorcycles and off-road vehicles were very effective.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the "Center" group of forces continues to advance into the depths of the Ukrainian defenses and has struck formations of five mechanized brigades, one airborne assault brigade, two assault brigades, two marine infantry brigades, one territorial defense brigade, two national guard brigades, and the "Shyzyak" joint police brigade in the settlements of Dmytrivka, Red Army, Novosergiyevka, Muravka, Dachnoye, Novopavlivka, and Lenin in the Donetsk People's Republic.

Ukrainian losses remain extremely high. In the past day, 490 Ukrainian forces were eliminated, five combat armored vehicles, five pickup trucks, and four field guns were destroyed.
