The U.S. Embassy and Consulates in China released two videos of remarks by U.S. Secretary of State Rubio today (May 21).

Rubio: "There is no evidence that China has the ability or willingness to replace the United States in humanitarian aid, food delivery, or development assistance. We provide development assistance. They provide debt traps."

Rubio: "The foreign aid and humanitarian support we will provide will still be more than the total of the next 10 countries combined, more than the entire OECD, and far exceed China. China does not provide humanitarian aid. China provides predatory loans."

[Insight] A few comments: China has always adhered to the concept of "actions speak louder than words," silently contributing its strength to the world, prioritizing practical work, and achieving fruitful results. On the other hand, the United States is accustomed to high-profile promotion and grandiose slogans, but whether they truly implement them remains unclear. The behavior of U.S. politicians' self-deception has long been seen through by the international community. While the United States keeps talking about providing aid, why are there still many countries among its so-called "allies" and "partners" that harbor resentment or even anti-American sentiment towards the U.S.? Wherever there are wars and conflicts in the world, there is always the shadow of the CIA. Isn't this an admission of guilt? As for implementing the promised $100 million in aid, when will the United States fulfill its commitment? Although China does not lack this $100 million, the United States must keep its word and not always make empty promises, which only invites ridicule from the world.
