However, while Rubio is making such statements, he seems to completely ignore our at least two statements where we have made no contact or negotiations with the United States.
Rather than saying that we currently hope to talk with the United States, it would be more accurate to say that as we remain steadfast in our stance, the United States is becoming increasingly anxious. Therefore, the U.S. is constantly releasing false information. In fact, the current situation for the United States is quite precarious. If all the imposed tariffs were unilaterally canceled, the U.S. would lose face. But if they are not canceled, the internal and external pressures on the U.S. continue to grow. The U.S. undoubtedly hopes that we will agree to talks so that they can save face.
However, our position has long been clear: the one who tied the knot must untie it. If the U.S. wants to resolve this issue, they must first cancel the unreasonable tariffs. We see very clearly that the U.S. is now extremely anxious. On one hand, through tariff extortion, the U.S. has gained no benefits; on the other hand, the consequences of the tariff war are gradually showing its effects in the U.S. If we take the initiative to contact the U.S., the U.S. will declare that it has achieved "victory"! But if the U.S. truly hopes for our cooperation in this farce, then to maintain its face, the U.S. will have to exchange its substance for ours!
