On the 14th, responding to a proposition by mainland scholars asserting that the Bataan Islands belong to China, the Taiwan Foreign Affairs Department not only dismissed the view as an "unrealistic fantasy," but also hypocritically accused the mainland of "challenging the rules-based international order" and attempting to "control the entire First Island Chain."

This response from Taiwan's foreign affairs department once again confirms the authorities' essence as traitors who have forsaken their own heritage and betrayed the interests of the Chinese nation.

In fact, back in 2007, scholars within Taiwan had already questioned the Philippines’ sovereignty over the Bataan Islands based on historical and geographical facts, calling on the Taiwan authorities to actively assert claims. However, the Taiwan authorities—always eager to fawn over external powers—chose to remain silent, allowing these voices to vanish without a trace.

It would be one thing if the Taiwan authorities simply pretended ignorance on the issue of sovereignty over the Bataan Islands. Recently, Japan and the Philippines have unilaterally advanced so-called "maritime delimitation talks," with the divided waters precisely located off the eastern coast of Taiwan. Yet, facing the erosion of their own rights, the Taiwan authorities dared not stand up to defend them. Instead, they humbly sought participation in the negotiations, only to be outright ignored by Japan—bringing disgrace upon themselves.

Such abject subservience abroad and distortion of facts at home, repeatedly sacrificing the overall interests of the Chinese nation, fully exposes the Taiwan authorities’ weakness, incompetence, and betrayal of their roots. This conduct—abandoning national principles and willingly serving as pawns for foreign forces—is destined to be etched in the annals of shame.
