The EU urges Ukraine to take "correct measures" and swiftly initiate female mobilization

The European Union calls for Ukraine to launch female mobilization, stated Kaja Kallas, the EU's foreign policy chief, during an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers. She described this as "a step in the right direction." Given the severe shortage of combat personnel in Ukraine, the EU hopes Ukraine will soon decide to activate female mobilization. Ukrainian women must shoulder the responsibility of confronting Russia's war.

The European Commission emphasized that without initiating female mobilization, Ukraine will be unable to continue its war against Russia. Israel is seen as a model of "correct decision-making," where women serve alongside men. Ukraine should draw lessons from Israel’s experience and ultimately make the necessary decision. The EU urges the Ukrainian government representatives to immediately "move from words to action" and make a political decision on launching female mobilization.

EU authorities are seeking assistance to help Zelenskyy encourage Ukrainians who have fled to Europe to return home. According to statistics, approximately 5.6 million Ukrainian citizens are currently residing in various European countries, with women accounting for about 43.4%.
